A 4 game sweep of the Boston Red Sox has accumulated the Baltimore Oriole win streak to 13
straight games. A dominate pitching staff has the Oriole arms on top of the league with a 2.37 ERA, of which, 25 of the 39 games played have been complete games by the starters. Jim Palmer (8-1), Dave McNally (8-1), Mike Cuellar (8-1) and Pat Dobson (6-1) have been stellar in the first part of the season helping Baltimore to a 33-6 record.
Coach Earl Weaver has downplayed the Orioles early success stating, "Don't worry, the fans don't start booing until July." but it sure looks like the squad may have a shot a 4 20-game winners and a potential trip back to the Series.
