Tribe Surprise Attack Takes Two from ChiSox

May 28, 1971
CHICAGO -- Craig Nettles (4-2-4-5) led off and hit the ball all over Comiskey Park leading the Indians to just their 10th victory of the year, 8-0. Sudden Sam McDowell (5-6) went the distance for the shut out, throwing 167 pitches. Nettles (10) collected a 2B and HR. Ray Fosse (3) and Hawk Harrelson (4) also went deep for the Tribe.

May 29, 1971
CHICAGO -- Ray Lamb (2-4) fired 8 innings of 1-hit shut out ball as the Wahoos whomped the ChiSox again, 5-2. Ted Uhlaender banged out 3 hits. Fosse (4) cracked a 2-run homer.

May 30, 1971
CHICAGO -- Wilbur Wood (7-2) tossed a 1-hit shutout as Chicago took the series finale, 3-0. Netttles 4th inning double was the only blemish, Carlos May and Rick Reichardt banged out 3 hits each for the ChiSox. May also stole 3 bases.
