Bengals Sweep Pair from ChiSox, Including 19-inning Affair

CHICAGO -- Joe Coleman (3-3) pitched 8.1 innings of 3-hit ball, fanning 10, as Detroit won 6-1. Tony Taylor (3 RBI), Norm Cash, and Aurelio Rodriguez each banged out 3 hits. Chicago has now lost 13 straight.

CHICAGO -- Bill Freehan's (1) 2-run blast off Steve Kealy (0-1) in the top of the 19th inning lifted the tigers to a 4-2 win. Fred Scherman (1-0) was the winning pitcher for the visitor's after 4 innings of shutout relief.
