Tribe Sweeps Pair from Pale Hose

April 25, 1972
CHICAGO -- Frank Duffy lined a triple off Wilbur Wood (2-2) in the 4th inning scoring 3 runs. The normally light-hitting SS also had an RBI double as Cleveland upended the White Sox 5-4. Dick Allen (3) hit a 3-run HR for the ChiSox and Bill Melton (2) added a solo shot. Milt Wilcox (1-1) started and won for the Tribe. Ed Farmer (1), who will be doing the same duties for the Sox in a few years, closed the game.

April 26, 1972
CHICAGO -- Ray Fosse and Buddy Bell each rang up 4 hits and Duffy doubled twice to drive in 3 more runs and Cleveland completed the sweep with a 7-4 victory. Dick Tidrow (2-1) recorded 26 outs and Phil Hennigan (2) notched the 27th. Tom Bradley fell to 0-2.
