ChiSox Hang Two Ls on Halos

May 19, 1972
CHICAGO -- Wilbur Wood (5-5) and Eddie Fisher knuckled each other to a draw. Blood was not drawn until the B8 when Chicago pushed across 2 for a 2-0 victory. Steve Barber (0-1) was tagged with the loss for the Angels. He issued a bases loaded walk to Bill Melton and gave up an RBI infield out to Rick Reichardt. Wood fanned 7 for the CG shutout.

May 20, 1972
CHICAGO -- Ken McMullen's (1) solo shot off Stan Bahnsen (1-6) in the 7th was the game-winner as California evened the series with a 3-2 win. Rickey Clark (3-3) tossed 6 innings, yielding just 5 hits and 1 ER for the W.

May 21, 1972
CHICAGO -- Dick Allen (5,6) is heating up as the weather warms up. He clobbered two home runs in a 5-2 Chicago win. Tom Bradley (3-4) pitched 7 strong for the W. Terry Forster (0-1) pitched a 1-2-3 9th for the save.
