Big Innings Help Brewers Slip Past Mariners

County Stadium: The Milwaukee Brewers swept past the Mariners in sluggish fashion, taking a 3 game series

by the slimmest of margins.  All 3 games saw the Brewers put up 1 big inning to help in securing the wins.  The series saw Milwaukee slightly edge Seattle in the hit column slugging out 24 hits to the Mariners 22 but it was the Brew Crew long ball and key relief pitching that won it for the Brewers in the end.  The Brewers find themselves in contention for the AL East top spot as they improve to 44-26 and are now within striking distance of the Yankees and Red Sox.  Seattle drops to 28-45.
