Lost No-Hit Bid in 7th

Craig Swan carried a no hitter into the 7th, then lost it and his shutout bid all in one mammoth swing by "the Kid", Gary Carter.  With the outcome not much in doubt Swan cruised to a complete game victory allowing just 2 hits.  New York battered a trio of horrible Expos hurlers into submission in this Saturday afternoon laugher as the fans watching back home on WOR-TV 9 got to hear Bob Murphy do the "Happy Recap".  If this were a home game there is no doubt that Mr. Swan would have been invited onto Kiner's Korner.
